Looking for service manual for YM1500

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for a service manual for a YM1500. Where would be the best place to get one?

Almost any dealer in the US will have a service manual--it will not be exactly for the YM1500, but will be for the closest model that was sold in the US. For my YM 1510D it is the YM 186. The parts manual is available on CD so it would be easy to send to you, the service manual is big and would be expensive--or very slow to send to you. However, in the mean time, if you have a particular area that you want to know something about, there may be some one who has a manual who could scan a few pages and send them to you via email.

I read about and saw pictures of the devastation with the flood in your area. Did it affect you?

i think the YM195 was the closest? have not bothered yet to get a manual for my 1500. did you buy yours up in QLD? thats where my 1500 came from(strathpyne) and my YM14 came from Hemmant. how did you fair with the floods?

They are both 2 cylinder and were built at the same time so that will give you a general idea. I think they used the same filters and had the same starting instructions etc.

But YM195 was Yanmar's next larger (YM1700) tractor at the time. I doubt fluid capacities, bolt size/torque. etc are the same. I think YM195 had an ordinary automotive alternator run from the fan belt and a water pump behind the fan, while YM1500 had the little pancake alternator hidden in the fan hub and convection cooling. I know the 4wd lever is in a different place. Maybe the YM1500 Parts Manual (in Japanese) with excellent diagrams is as close as you will find.

Doesn't Hoye or somebody publish a specific YM1500 manual in English?

Five years ago somebody here had a downloadable file of YM1500 tips that was mostly a collection of TBN posts. Does anyone have a copy of that?

Hi everyone. I faired ok in the floods. Friends not so well and have been helping out. Not so good but these things happen now and then.

So Hoye sounds like the place to get one. Have been told this by everyone.
