Looking for review of Pat's Easy Mover 4 or 5 foot 3PH Rear Bucket. I have searched the forum and come up empty. It looks interesting. I like it for it's cost vs an FEL, a front JD QUick Hitch Bucket, or even the Johnny Bucket. I don't need the high lift of an FEL. It also doubles as a Tow Bar/Hitch. Also can be a Carry All. You can see it at trickmytractor.com. Manufactured by the same company that makes Pat's Easy Change 3PH system.

Planned usage - Distributing gravel annually on driveway. Mulch annually. Carry All. Misc small property (7 wooded acre) hauling and moving.

Thanks

For those like me that didn't know what it was, here is a link and a picture.

Unless you have a hydraulic top cylinder for your three point, I don't see it being much good for moving gravel. You could scoop it, but then what? I think a box blade would be better for gravel and a 3pt carryall or set of pallet forks with a pallet and wood sides would be better as a carryall.

FEL (front end loader) bucket is what i would use for most of what you are describing "moving gravel/mulch/dirt"

there be a reason why i state FEL. it is not the high lift. but the articulation of the FEL... "curling / uncurling of bucket", lifting and lowering bucket with arms. that allows you to dig in and take a bite of what ever. plus allows you to back drag. get up closer to stuff and raise bucket up and dump stuff into say a flower bed (dirt or like),

3pt hitchs are designed to "drag stuff" when driving forward. as soon as you start driving backwards, or yanking on them left to right. you can quickly destroy a 3pt hitch. causing lift arms to buckle to top link to buckle. to possibly causing the rear end of tractor metal/casings to crack some. pending on how much ya jamb stuff up.

3pt hitch, scrapper pan, is more of a FEL (front end loader) bucket but for a 3pt hitch. forcing you to drive forwards with the scrapper pan to get stuff into the pan. and in that puts less stress on the 3pt hitch and rear end of your tractor. due to it is dragging the scrapper.

=============
if you are having issues were ya need to put rock on driveway yearly.... sounds like your driveway needs to get fixed. vs adding more and more to it. getting water to drain off driveway along with getting water to run away from drive. vs setting in a hole letting water soak into the ground beside drive or on driveway. "drainage is the major issue"

Sorry been out and about and couldnt respond.

Yes it Dumps
It also has a Hitch Feature.
Agree that pushing with 3PH has some risks.
We're talking $500 vs 3K for a FEL or 2k for a johnny bucket, and I dont get the carry all functionality or the towbar function which I would probably use more with a tow hook for dragging out dead timber.
Any way just hoping somebody out there in TBN has used one.
Thanks for all the responses.
Yes the driveway needs to be "Fixed" Once again $$$$. Fixed budget.

Here are two more pictures

Yes it dumps. But my understanding is it is an all or nothing type of dump.
This means you have made a smaller pile of material from a larger pile of that material.
Look on craigslist or FB marketplace and for about the same money, buy a few different implements ( pond/dirt scoop, a carryall, and a trailer mover) which will do the jobs you listed and greatly reduce the risk of damage to your tractor. If you shop around a bit, you will find these and actually spend less if you can easily pick them up fairly locally as shipping is rough on this item. Carryall frames can be purchased new if need be for about the dollar of a used one with a deck if you have special needs for the deck.
Yes the pond/dirt scoop is going to be a largely dumps in one spot also, but good used ones can be found in my area for less than half of this item prior to shipping.
Hopefully, you already have a box blade or straight blade as you will need it with either this item or the dirt scoop!

Speaking of fixing, I fixed your link to the MFG website that just showed a picture: greenwellmfg - Home

Just realized this is an old thread. But has good info for those finding it from a search.
