Hose looks as if it connects from steering pump in front of chassis underneath hood and comes through frame to right side and out to connect to another fitting outside of frame. When it busted, steering became tight and when I tried to turn wheel, fluid squirted out. I'm on AGCO parts site and can't find anything. It is a formed rubber hose, maybe 5/8" inner diameter. A stick popped up and ripped it a bit.

Any help is appreciated. Tractor is in field and going on vacation this upcoming weekend. Would like to get it put up in time. If dealer doesn't have hose, would a normal rubber hose compatible with hyd. fluid or gas/diesel work? Is there any specific reason this hose is formed other than not to kink?

Best bet if possible is to take it off and take it to a hose shop and have one made.

Whe you say "formed hose", how much forming is done? Does it make tight bends? Cause they make some hydraulic hoses now that can bend to a pretty tight radius and not kink.

Also, not sure what you mean by "is normal rubber hose compatible"? Are we talking a pressure line here? or just a suction/.return line that dont see any real pressure? If it is a pressure line, then you need a high pressure hydraulic hose. If just a suction line, just get a bulk peice of suction hose and some clamps.

I've got the hose off.

I should have clarified it is not a pressurized hose as it is a simple rubber hose attached to metal nipples via hose clamps. Not much fluid came out, either. I'm guessing no more than a pint or so. Probably just what was in hose.

Well then, any hose that is rated for hydraulic oil should work just fine. As far as formed?? if there isnt any real tight bends or obsticals to go around, I dont see the problem with just a bulk piece of hose.

Found it in the diagram. It is a return hose for sub-hydraulic system. It looks like it makes some sharp turns on diagram, but out in the field, it didn't look that bad. May try a piece of hose just to get it back into container and lock up if dealer doesn't have part.

For any AGCO guys out there with access to system, it is part number 6241640M1

Thanks for you help, LD1
