I have seen one.. it's the full face flip down visor like a clear grinding face shieldd, only safety green tint for gas torching. oxy/acet.. etc... would be way more convienient for me than goggles since I wear coke-bottle sized eye glasses.

( ants fear me and hope I don't look down )

i'm not sure what shade my goggles are.. whatever they are.. they are safe.. I don't get ghost's after torching.. will have to look at it to make sure i get the same shade level i am used to.

think the shade in my AD welding helmet is 9 or 10 or so?

thanks

Like you, I use #10 for arc welding also.....I've never gone over to the "Electronic Shades" yet....YET.......

Just can stand the thought of one of those things being dropped and bounced around the shop......:(

With the face shields you will notice that green and dark green are less cost than a certified shade 3 or 5. Fibre Metal, Jackson and Sellstrom are some brands you will find at the distributors stores.

They stock them at the welding suppliers and even Grainger in these parts.

I think mine is a Jackson with #5 shield on it.
