It isn't the $$$ savings that I am looking for, but the convenience of finding them locally and possibly a better quality filter also. I know that Amzoil makes an engine oil filter and it cost a little over $10. I don't know the quality of the filter compared to the Kubota filter, but I do know that there has been a lot of discussion in the past about poor quality of OEM replacement filters in the past. I am not concerned with cost, but only quality. The cost between the least expensive and the most expensive is very little over the life of the machine. I just want to extend that life as best as I can. Best filter, best oil, frequent changes, no abuse = a HAPPY KUBOTA!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I already have spares from Kubota that hopefully I will never need for the reason that I purchased them. After reading about people impaling their hydro filter, I purchased a spare and an engine filter also in the unlikely event that I did the same...
