It's possible that there may be better, but I doubt there's a better tiller FOR THE PRICE than a King Kutter II. Mine (72") is 9 years old now. First season it got hammered....I bought it to restore pasture land on my farm. That ground was compacted, and has limestone rock shelf just inches under the surface. That made plowing not an option. So I used the tiller on 30+ acres. It must have hit rock a zillion times. Made the tractor bounce a few times! Not so much as a whimper out of the tiller. It's been used a LOT since. Several members of the family borrow it every year to do gardens, as well as quite a bit of use on my place. It's done enough work to wear out one complete set of tines, and is well on the way to wearing out set #2. And ZERO mechanical issues.
Paint isn't "pretty", but it's a tiller, not a new Corvette.
I'm hard to please when it comes to spending money....Not much stuff lives up to my expectations. And I'm not a big advocate of King Kutter in general, BUT, Their KKII series of tillers are all that AND a bag of chips IMHO.
