Looking for a simple fix

Used my ck20hst for the first time in weeks to move back some snow banks and noticed that the High Range - Low Range lever is all "sloppy" and seems to be 'loose'. I suspect a loose connection or a lost bolt somewhere. Unfortunately my vision is messed up right now due to cataract surgery so I will have to wait to get a "non blurry" look. Have any of you ck20 owners had any problems with this lever or the linkages attached to it? Thanks in advance. Burt

Nope, no problem here. Should be an easy tightening fix though. I hope your recovery, and that of your tractor are quick. John

Simple turned more complicated quickly. The next time I touched the lever it broke off. Called my dealer. He drove down that afternoon with a new lever (borrowed from a new CK20 on his lot)... He used a special extra long punch to drive out the two roller pins that hold the lever in place and fairly quickly replaced the old lever with the new one. He thinks that the original may have been heated when drilled and that the metal had lost its temper. Thus, it just snapped off at the first drilled hole. All fixed. All warranty work. Proving again that often the dealer is THE difference on a happy tractor buying experience. Come on spring, I'm ready to dig again! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm happy to hear that complicated didn't last long. I'm equally pleased to hear that your eyes are healed well, and that you're seeing like days of old again. My mom recently went through it too, and she couldn't believe how well see was NOT seeing when she kept insisting that she could see just fine! LOL. Now she sees all the things I told her she was missing.
