I have been reading this forum and would like to purchase a new 4310. I live in stroudsburg, pa and have received a price of $22K - $23K for a 4310 w/ 300cx loader, R1 tires, eHydro. I have seen people getting better pricing but cannot find a dealer in PA or NJ to give me anything close to that. Can someone suggest a "good" dealer that will give me a good price, plus good service? I am willing to deal with a dealer in NJ or PA. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I don't have any dealer advice but I'll give you my opinion. The dealer is definetly trying to take your money. The new 20 series tractors that are replacing the 10 series are in the 23,000-25,000 range. You may want to try a dealer in a more rural area if you don't mind the drive and get some quotes.

That is what I thought. I will have to continue to look around for better dealers. I have tried several in PA (one on the east side of the state and one on the west side of the state) and both have given me the same price. I have yet to try NJ. thanks for the reply. Time to keep looking.

While I wouldn't usually recommend going this far away, I would suggest getting a quote from JD Equipment in London OH. They are used to long distance service and will get you the best price. That way, you can determine if the price is strictly a dealer issue, or the current overall situation.

Assuming you're just getting the items you mentioned, list price per the JD site is now $23,582 for that configuration. Add to that shipping/freight and setup you're up around $24K. In PA it appears you'll be doing well to get 15% off that number - or right around $20,500 or so before sales tax (and before any incentives or rebates that might be in effect right now.)

I went through Lone Maple in New Alexandria (western PA) and was very happy with the transaction. You can PM me for details.

I have to echo the recommendation for JD Equipment. They sold me a used 4310 (50 hours) with eHydro, R4, 430 FEL for 16.4 K. I think shipping was about 200 extra. I'm sure the local dealer would like me better if I'd bought it from him, but I think it was worth the savings.

Thanks to everyone for the great advice. I have checked with JD Equipment in London OH and will be calling them next month to place my order. They said that they can beat the 20K mark. Only 300 - 400 for shipping is awesome. Looking forward to becoming a permanent member of this forum... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

thanks again to all.

I just got a quote for a 4310 hydro with a 300cx for 19,600. From the sounds of it, that's a decent price.
