I've got a 1050 with 33pto hp and I too usually mow in 1H or 2H when its short with a 5ft cutter. I like to mow 3-4 times a year, but I don't always get to do that. For times when it's once a year, I somtimes have to shift to 3L or 4L when the grass is really thick. Toss in any vines or brush and speed goes way down.
