Looking for a 2360 SnowBlower for GC2310

I am in the market for a 2360 snowblower and quick attach frame for my GC2310. I am looking for a used one but would consider a new unit if the price is right. Anyone have one or know of one for sale? My local dealer wants $4,000.00 for this unit and I can't quite swallow that. I may have to go with a rear mount unit for about half that price but really don't want to blow snow in reverse.

Check with other dealers....?

I got mine 2+ yrs ago when I got the tractor; seems like it was a $3200 add-on then, so perhaps $4K isn't so far off. Pricey, YES

, but it works very well and I wouldn't trade it for anything! The front quick-connect business allows me to remove it in only a couple of minutes so I can put the bucket on if I need to. I've never regretted spending the $$ when I got the machine.

I went with a rear mount both because it was 1/2 of the cost, and because it kept the bucket on, too.

I've never found it uncomfortable to sit side-saddle when clearing up after a storm, and use the bucket each time as well.

There are lots of opinions on the best set up, and as the
an on TV says, YMMV.

Thanks for the input guys. Jay, you and I live close to one another, what dealer did you buy your snow thrower from? I have been using Northwood Power in Hermon.

Jay and I have identical snowblowers, except mine is better.

I think we both bought them in Sabattus.
The Puma blows snow like crazy, and as he says, sitting side saddle and blowing in reverse is not too difficult. Having the option of digging with the bucket is real handy, too.
Anybody need a hydraulic chute rotator for a Pronovost Puma 54"? I'm going with electric controls.

*If* Jim's is better, it's because he was clever enough to rig up some fancy chute rotator. I haven't done that yet, but when he figures out which one works best, I'll be happy to snag his design.

I bought my tractor at Waterman's in Sabatus, but bought the snowblower from Hammond Tractor in Fairfield. I bought it in the middle of last summer and Hammond had a couple leftovers from the previous year, so their price was a bit better.

However, I think Hammond took on a different line (Meteor?). I don't have any experience with that unit, but after looking at it, prefer the Pronovost Puma. I think the latter is a bit more solidly designed, and the chute rotator works very smooth by hand, which is nice until Jim master's an alternative design. ;-)

Thanks for all the input guys. After careful thought and looking at the funds in my checkbook I decided to go with a rear mount snowthrower. I bought the Radtech Blizzard B54 from Northwood Power. Looks like a rugged machine. I pick it up tomorrow. I just could not see paying $3750 for the front mount. The rear mount was a little more than half that cost. Now I have to rig up some work lights facing backward so I can see what I am doing early on a snowy morning. It won't be long now.

Good choice on the attachment. I really like having the bucket in addition to the snow blower.

Thanks, Jay. I like your set-up and had been reading about installing work lights in some other threads, also. I am going to install some lights this coming weekend. I broke off one of my flashers while bush-hoggin a few days ago and may just remove that flasher and install the work light in its bracket and run the wire inside the rops and connect to the prewired connection under the fender. I found a work light that has an intigrated switch but still may install a switch in the dash like you did. Seems like a better way to go. Thanks again for your help and I will post pics as soon as I get it completed.

I stopped there (Northwood Power) for a minute today on my way to the coast, and wondered where that 54" blower went.........

Now I know! There is a JD dealer closer that has some too, so I may go look at them there. Need to do something soon, it was spitting snow by the lake today here.
