There is a problem with the description of the tractor. There is no such thing as a TC350. Is it perhaps a TC35D? If so, $13,500 is a fair price if the tractor is in good condition. If it is a TC35 (gear tractor) then it may be a little overpriced at 1,800 hours. I'd offer $12,500.

I'd first look under the hood at the battery and radiator are for acid leaks and corrosion. You can also normally tell if the loader has been abused by how badly the bucket has been beat up/bent. Check the tractor for leaks and obvious missing/malfunctioning parts. For $13,500, I'd expect it to be in top mechanical condition.

I would not be able to justify the fuel cost /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

theking,

On a serious note........if you get this tractor....excellent machine. Not sure what you want to do with it, but it has plently of power, weight & traction.

With the FEL you will need to get a counterweight at the rear if it does not already have one. Are the rear tires filled ?

Might as well check out the condition of the air filter as well as all fill fluids to see if they have at least made the pretense of showing that they maintained the tractor. At approximately 600 hrs. per year that's alot of hours. If it was a small landscaping company then you could feel somewhat sure that they took care of their machinery. If it was a bigger company.....anything goes as there would have been multiple users at different expereince levels.

Don't want to scare you off but you can use this info towards negotiating a better price. Since I am way north of you I have no idea if this is a good price or not.

I guess another thing you can check is fluid leaks underneath the tractor. Do a test drive & possibly work the tractor on a pile of dirt they have & then check for leaks 5 minutes later.
