Hi all, my first posting here. I am a single mom and have 6 acres, but there are only about 2-3 potentially usable acres on the top of the ridge where the house sits with a small slope in front and big slope in back. I want to add a little "curb appeal," other than what I have now. The lawn is uneven to say the least. It looks like years ago, they cleared off the top of the hill to make the home place, so I have bare rock on top of the ground in places and lots of little rocks just under the grass (where the grass IS growing.) In addition to moving the big rocks out of the way that I can, I am resigned to having to buy a LOT of top soil to cover the rocks that are left. No landscaping whatsoever was done to the place and I have an old fence row to clear out. I used my neighbors small old Yanmar tractor last year some, (my daughter called it a death trap because it didn't have any brakes. lol.) but it only had a box blade attachment, so I couldn't do a lot except pull the dirt I had delivered somewhat where I wanted it. I will need to level and re-seed the lawn and part of the slopes if I can, clear our some scrub bushes and trees, do some foundation plantings, and plant lots of trees and shrubs. I recently saw this tractor advertised but am not sure if it and the attachments will do what I need and if it is a good price. And how do you think it would handle the slopes? I would like to get them smooth enough to mow. I was thinking I could use it for a couple of years to do what I need then sell it and get some of my money back, but by then I might be attached to it........ I would greatly appreciate any feedback.
