Narrowed down to a CK4010. McMichael's is 34 miles from me in Virginia and Ceresville New Holland is 24 miles from me in Frederick MD. Does anyone have experience working with either one in regards to purchase and service? PM me if it is more appropriate.

Home construction almost done I will be purchasing in the next 60 days.

Thanks!

Hey there neighbor. I have not used or seen many Kioti around and as for those dealers I cannot provide much help. Did you consider the Massey Ferguson 1700s or 1700Es? I have a MF GC1720 TLB, but the closest thing to the CK4010 would be one of those 1700s.

What do you need or plan to do with it? How much land are you using it on? It's interesting you're not going to the Orange or Green dealer closest to you (I couldn't afford their prices), so I ended up purchasing my MF from Ogg Equipment up in MD, just off US-15.

I forgot to add, do you plan on needing them for performing the actual services, or would you only need them for warranty work?

Hey thanks for the response Coldsteel! I'm just completing my house on 3 acres. I'm going to have a lot of grading and moving of rock to do until I get the yard where I want it. I'll be bush hogging until I can get a decent lawn established. The whole property is on a hill so stability is important to me. I've ruled out JD because of price and lack of 3 spd tranny and I'm still considering Kubota. Those dealers are both in my town. I've been to Ogg to look at Massey and Mahindra. I actually work in Frederick MD. How is Ogg as a dealer? The sales guy really didn't have time for me when I was there last.

I have dealt with Ceresville before, no major purchases just a used NH 56 rake a few SS 4in1 buckets and a lot of parts for a Kawasaki Mule and iirc I bought a tedder/rake there also. No complaints, I did like my sales guy, (Donald?) he moved up the street to Frederick Equipment and sold me my tractor I have now.

I live in Fauquier county and have had very good experiences with McMichaels near Gainesville. They were a Kubota dealer for 25+ years but recently switched to selling Kioti, NH, and Yanmar.

I'm in the market for a new Yanmar YT235 and plan on buying from McMichaels. Good folks.

Ogg was fairly easy to deal with, but that is because I had decided on what I wanted. The sales guy I worked with was Tony Bueso almost entirely via email. I actually had to wait for two months for it to arrive; it was on order, but they only had the lower HP GC models. Once it arrived, I checked it out, signed for the financing and they delivered it the following work week. I didn't have a means to tow it myself, but they only charged $75 for delivery and since they delivered it from MD, I paid no sales tax to MD.

Since then I have purchased fluids/filters from them, a mid-mount belly mower and a replacement lower link arm that I had sheared off. I have a backhoe model and it has been worth it's weight in labor savings and versatility.

I do my own maintenance so I don't know how they are for service, but nothing beats being able to do your own work.

It provides ballast without giving up it's function and the 3 point hitch parts collapse and sit behind the backhoe when mounted so that you don't have to disassemble the whole thing. My understanding is on a Kubota you do have to do that.

Are you considering a loader or just a bare tractor? I'm not well-versed in the Kioti models.

Coldsteel, I'm considering the loader as well as bush hog and possible a box blade and or forks. I certainly can do maintenance but my only fear is if I need major warranty work. What does OGG charge to haul back and forth for warranty?

Hill High Guy - Welcome to the forum!

When I was shopping for my Kioti four years ago, I first checked with Ceresville as the then-nearest dealer. They did not have what I wanted in inventory, so I ended up going with Tractor Hill Equipment in Mineral, VA. Since then, I see that McMichaels has picked up the Kioti brand as well. Tractor Hill has been great to work with, both for pricing, implements, and follow-up support. Recommend that you give them a call when you're pricing what you want. They are about the same distance from me as from you, but that has never been an issue. They pick up and delivery up this way regularly. PM me if you'd like more info.

Well, it was $75 two years ago, so it may be the same. Or now, while purchasing a tractor, is the time to also purchase a trailer to haul it; get all the pain over with at once.
