Serial #1, a prototype, displayed at last week's AUSA Conf in Huntsville, home of Polaris newest plant. Engine is pushed back away from cab, under the long bed.

I like the new doors with what looks like roll up windows. I run without my door because it is in the way with out a window that can open.

Now that is awesome. Brings the size pretty much in line with small delivery vans used worldwide. Had they had these when I was UTV shopping I might have actually considered a gator, having a dedicated larger bed like that would be very convenient.

Definitely a workhorse!
I have an 855D...great machine and very torquey (is that a word?), but it's not a 'fun" machine if you like quick acceleration or a high (>30 MPH) top speed. With the long bed, the diesel will be outstanding for around a farm.

Those are some serious D-rings. I don't think those tires will be able to get the traction commiserate with the hardware.

But I like the idea.

I'm looking to get one of the Kubota 1400, which has a convertible bed/back seat. There are times the seat will be needed, but most of the time, the bed will be more useful.

Its hard to stomach the prices though. My 2006 F350 CC Dualie only cost me $5K more than the UTV I'd like.

Deere said they put LT tires on it to appeal to commercial users at that show -- agree about price, it's getting absurdly high

I love this!!!! Hopefully other brands will do the same and we'll get some serious competition for working type UTV's Seems like most of them are focused on playing and not in getting things done on the farm. Torro has something similar to this that I considered when buying, but the closest dealer is 2 hours away.

It will take a lot of folks refusing to buy at the grossed out price before they come down. Supply and demand you know, just like the automobile companies are doing now with their glut of autos, offer cash back or just lower the darned prices. Heck $20K for a UTV is outrageous for something without heat, AC, radio or even doors with roll up and down windows not to mention not having power anything on them. Basically a small engine, belt drive(in the case of some Gators, don't know if all are like that, but I have no interest in checking them out to see), a light sheet metal bed and small cab with uncomfortable, non adjustable seats, sometimes windshield, sometimes doors, sometimes roof (all extra costs). Got to be the Harley mentality of the owners to pay that much for a UTV.
I have to admit that I have a UTV and it is THE MOST used item on my place but I gave thousands less than $10K for it 6 years ago used with 60 hours on the clock. I guess I would still be using the golf cart if I had to pay $20 K or even $15K for one now.

I agree Gary. I paid $5500 for a 180hr RTV900. I had to think about that for a few days.

I guess it's all about perspective. $20K for a top of the line RTV. $60K for a top of the line heavy truck.
