Log Splitter on BX25

You actually have three options for the splitter /BH.

One hose from the PB to the rear feeding the splitter, and splitter return going to tank.

A remote 2 or three spool valve and using one work port to feed the splitter/BH, and the return going to tank.

Using one curl hose to feed the splitter/BH, and the return going to tank.

In the first two options, the 3pt is not in the circuit, and in the thrid option, you can use the 3pt when not using the FEL curl circuit.

If not using the splitter or BH, just jumper the PB hose to the 3pt IN hose/fitting.

I think I have it figured out. Following the shop manual hydraulic path, the BH is the first item in the circuit and the PB goes on to the FEL. Hence my rational; if I hook the splitter up same as the BH every thing else works, including the 3PT if I want to move w/o unhooking Hyd. The 3PT is a seperate circuit from the BH and FEL.

If you use a splitter valve with PB, it should work.

The flow on a BX is slow, but it'll work. This is a thread that i started for my BX-24

The short clearance of a BX 3PH demands that you put a QH on to buy the few extra inches that you need for the ram cylinder to clear the PTO cover. I live and die by my QH, so it was no problem for me...
