I'm changing from back hoe to box blade to do some landscaping and wondering if some clever person has figured out a way to use the belly mower and box blade at the same time. There must be some way to keep the box blade up and still lower the belly mower.

Great idea, but I prefer to lighten up the machine and streamline to avoid clipping something. A boxblade with 3pt hitch is probably 4-500 lbs. The boxblade on the back adds about 4-5 feet in length.

Tend to agree. When I mow the grass, I remove everything else to try to slow the compaction of the soil. With the turf tires, tractor and MMM is isn't too bad but put BB, FEL, or, worse, BH on there and it starts to be pretty heavy even on those turf tires.

Have in the past used a chain around arms then around heavy support to hold arms up on other tractors for different reasons to keep 3 pt up.Never tried it on my BX but might just work with right hook up.
