I just returned from my first local auction at our John Deere dealership. Advertised with 280 items for sale with no minimum or reserve.
I had just bought a replacement for a 1995 LX 178 the night before off a Craigs List (345 with a 48 deck. good shape w 1040 hrs.) so
I went just to see an auction. I guess that there were more than 100 bidders plus on line offers. I saw about 20 plus 2010-2012 X700's
all under 300 hours and most had never used decks. Needles to say I was shocked that the first with a 54 deck sold for $4850.00. I was hooked. The zero turns were selling at about 80% off the show room price. Five X700 later I got my 2011 complete with a new 62'' deck and 242 hours for $4500.00 delivered to my house.
