I have a10 ft landscape trailer with a 4 ft tailgate ramp.

I need to load my bushog finish mower onto the trailer. Tractor is not available so I will need to use a come a long or something similar.

Any suggestions on how to do this?

How can I rig this if my come a long isn't long enough to reach from front of trlr to the mower. Can I just take a large piece of chain and hook it to the trailer to give it the come a long more length?

You answered your own question. It'll work.

I would use some pipe under the front of the BH to roll it on so the pull would be easier.

If you have a engine hoist you could lift it then back the trailer under it.

If you have a 2nd vehicle... shackle a block/pulley to the center front of trailer. Run cable from mower through block/pulley, then back to 2nd vehicle.Typically the pulling vehicle backs in next to trailer at an angle to keep cable from hitting and parts of the trailer. Better to have at least twice the length of trailer in cable. I have loaded heavy equipment/junk using this method. Yea I am getting older and hate come a longs. One of these days I am getting winch for my trailer.

position mower next to BIG tree
tie cable or rope to tree, then run through snatch block
mounted at front of trailer then straight back to mower.

trailer is positioned in line with mower and trailer is hitched to truck.

so now cable runs from mower to snatch block connected to front of trailer then back to the tree.

truck pulls forward which pulls trailer forward and also pulls snatch block with it. this will
pull on mower as fixed end at tree will not move. when mower is loaded on trailer stop and
disconnect cable. away you go.

be sure to video and put on YouTube please. :)
