Loader valve question

Hi There,
I have a Case 395 with a Cross 2 spool hydraulic valve. The problem I am having is that when I am raising the loader using the left spool lever, at about half way up it stops and the it loads up the tractor hydraulics. If I put the loader up hoses on the other lever (Bucket dump) it works fine. Could there be a problem with my new valve? Why does it works fine for the first half?

Re-check your QD's for the lift arms.

Did the trouble shift to the bucket, if you switched hoses?

Do you have work hoses installed correctly?

Yes the trouble shifted to the bucket when I connected it to the left spool. Also put a pressure gage on both sides of the lift cylinders for the left spool and the pressure gradually increased on both sides till about 2000psi or I stopped it cause it was loading the tractor. I also installed the gage on the return line back to sump and there was no pressure increase.

Remove the QD's from the hose and place in a bucket and see if you have full flow.

Still sounds like a malfunction QD.

If you install your gage in the IN port of the first valve, you will see any pressure caused by a component.

You could remove the QD's and use a coupler and test again.

Looking more closely at your valve, is that large hex plug a PB port. Is the lettering BYD on that port.

If it is, why are you not using the PB/BYD to feed the 3pt?

This also may be related to the lift arms.

Does your 3pt lever return to neutral when you release it, and if not, place the 3pt lever in neutral, operate the loader and see if there is any difference.

Well it appears the valve is the problem. I emailed Cross and they said it is a valve problem and needs to be returned.

Did you do the test we suggested?

Did you use a coupler instead of the QD'd
