I am installing a front end loader on my Yanmar 155D tractor and I have a loader valve, open center and wonder if I install it the way Hoye tractor has it shown on their site, which is pressure from pump to in port of valve and out port of valve to small manifold block by shifter. Thanks, Dean

How many openings and lines does your diverter block have? Picture possible? Does your loader valve have a power beyond port? Picture possible?

I am familiar with Hoyes drawing on the loader hookup but not sure I am following you. Are you talking about coming straight from the pump to the loader valve and then from the loader valve to the inlet port on the diverter block? If so, that will work, but not neccesarily the correct way if you have power beyond on your valve.

Not much help I know. :D

JJ posted and he is the guru on these things so follow his instructions and you can't go wrong.

Hi, I presently have a single spool valve with power beyond port for my rear power angle pivot, I will be removing this single valve when I put on the loader. My diverter block has 4 ports, and this loader valve does not have a power beyond port. I will try to post pictures. Regards, Dean

I'll wait for JJ to advise. I would ask, how is the existing spool valve hooked up, especially the power beyond port and does it have a tank return hooked up?

What loader valve does not have a PB port.

Always use a loader valve with PB.

A loader valve with PB will have at least 7 ports.

You should only use a valve with no PB port as the last valve in a hyd system as the return port only has a low pressure rating, about 500 psi. Back pressure could damage valves up stream.

Hi, the existing PB valve port does go back to tank.

PB port shouldn't go to tank . Out on loader valve should go to tank. PB should feed another valve, Ie 3 pt, grapple valve , log splitter valve,,etc, etc,

Hi, the existing PB valve port does go back to tank.

Let's back up a little. How many hoses does your existing valve have? If you have 5 hoses one of them is power beyond, one tank return and one inlet. The other two go to the implement. Is this what you have?

If that valve is the last valve in the open circuit path, then both the PB and the OUT flow can go to tank.

If you have and use the 3pt, that is the last valve in the system path, and any valve feeding the 3pt should have PB port.
