Front-End Loader Loader for my New Holland

Hello everyone!

I have a 2003 New Holland TC40. I purchased it new and chose not to get a loader at that time for an additional $4800. That was a mistake I've regretted for the last 14 years! Now I want to buy the best quality loader possible for my tractor. Any suggestions on brands or options? Do they sell loaders with the fender mount controls or are all after market loaders located on the loader post? I definitely want quick release bucket options. I'm located in WV. Are there any east coast dealer recommendations?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would price one from New Holland first and see how it compares. I know several who have looked and found no great savings. That being said, I have seen a lot of Bushog loaders. I doubt they are cheaper ,but the quality is probably excellent. Westndorf is another option.

About 8 years ago my dealer was selling Stoll FEL's. He was on a great floor plan at the time. I had him install an FC 350 on my 1720. Worked great. Was lower priced than a similar New Holland but did not have SSQA. The Stoll performed fine for over 7 years.

See what your nearest dealer carries. Bush Hog, Woods, Westendorf, etc...all make good loaders. They should be a little less expensive than New Holland. My dealer had several of the FC 350's in stock at the time and that is what I put on the 1720. I would have had to order one with the SSQA and didn't want to wait. Definitely get one with SSQA. You may fine it better just to buy a tractor with an FEL already installed. I would guess around $4500 to $5K for a new install.
