Anyone tell me how to get the cable out of the valve on an 820tl? Does the joystick need to be disassembled first? It's got water in it and is freezing up. I wanted to disconnect it to let it drain and possibly get some lube in it but, when I take the 2 long screws out the piece won't move down the cable because of the way it is made. I'm guessing once the end is removed from the joystick it will have enough slack to disconnect it?
I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a trick before I disassemble the joystick.

I got around to replacing my bad cable this weekend. Pain in the butt. The joystick has to be disassembled. The cable connection at the loader valve has a C clip on the underside that has to be pryed open and slid down the cable to get the pin out. I found a good video on YouTube on how to disassemble the joystick. The valve end I just figured out by looking at it.
I'm pretty sure the 800 series loaders on the new Hollands are made by Quicke. I found the service manual online but it had zero information on how to swap a cable.
I just left this here in case it might be helpful to someone else.
