How much information does knowing the Breakforce of one loader vs. another Loader tell us about the performance of the difference in loaders.?

I am lookig at the Kubota 2350 sub Tractor with a loader breakforce of only 995 lbs

The John Deere 2305 has a breakforce of 1450 lbs.

Does this mean the JD 2305 can dig deeper and push more?

It means that if you are digging a stump out with the loader that you have a MUCH better chance with the Deere. This is over-simplified, but breakout is the amount force available (usually at the pivot pin, but check the reference point) using the lift cylinders at ground level. Back to my example... If you hook a stump with your bucket lip at more or less ground level with the bucket level and try to "lift" the stump... if it does not move, you exceeded your breakout force. Now keep in mind these forces travel in some kind of an arc so just because the loader has the best breakout does NOT mean it has the best lift capacity to full height. It's all in the geometry. I hope this help. There are good many old posts about this. Bob Skurka actually did some studies on this stuff, but he does not even check PM's anymore much less post on the forum. He had a lot of knowledge that up and walked away.

Neither one.
Breakout is the bucket curl force.

Think of a teeter totter with the pivot in the middle. One kid on each seat. Now, put 2 kids on one seat & keep the one kid on the other. In order to move again adjust the pivot point closer to the 2 kid seat and play. Thats a Kubota. Now add a third kid to the 2. Again, adjust the pivot closer to the 3 kid seat and play. That's a JD.

Hard to real world quantify 500 lbs. What do you loose? curl angle, dump angle, dump height, cycle time, etc.?

I personally use breakout to rip roots & lever rocks that are beyond the lift capacity. I suppose digging more gets it done as well, just takes longer.
