I use AGRI-LIM 50, it is made in Quebec and is environmentally friendly. Non corrosive and all that stuff. The rest of my toys have calcium but I did have to change a rim and tire on a 510B John Deere backhoe, expensive. Made a mess of the lawn for sure. Nothing lasts for ever, but it sure helps to keep your rims painted up. Eventually I can see calcium being phased out in big industry due to environmental concerns. I worked in a potash and salt mine for the last 31 years and anytime we had a brine spill it would have to be reported and cleaned up. Not like years ago when you could just hose it down.

The latest thing they are doing is filling tubeless tires with Calcium chloride. If you totally submerge the rim in CaCl it won't rust the rims. A small leak could lead to big issues if not fixed immediately.

"they" may be doing it but any reputable dealer wouldn't fill them without tubes. Mine wouldn't.

I agree. All it takes is for the rim to "kiss" a rock and even a slight ding would be enough to cause a leak. The stuff is very caustic exposed to air. Without tubes surrounding CaCl, to me, it's like wearing your lungs outside of your ribs..

OK here is my 2 cents worth. I use windshield washer fluid and it works just fine with no problems in southwest mo. The coldest temps we get are around 20 below and I keep my tractor in a unheated shed. The L4330 with R4 tires has had the washer fluid in it for 16 years.

I used windshield washer fluid, tubeless R-4's. 14 years no problems.
