My 2004 CK30hst pto lever can be set at the standard 540 rear pto rpm or with the blocking plate removed, I can have 1,000 rear pto rpm. Some of the older tractors had the option of both. Most American pto attachments use the 540 where I believe European use 1,000. In past posts, some members with rear snowblowers would use the 1,000 pto rpm for light snow falls with a lower, approximately half - 1,300, engine rpm. Less engine power but still did the job. The only concern is that pump probably is rated at 540 max rpm. You wouldn't want to switch to the 1,000 and then raise engine rpm @above 1,300 and spin the pump to fast. There should be a little orange or white colored triangle on your tach matching up to somewhere in the 2,500 - 2,600 rpm numbers. This is the engine rpm for the 540 pto setting to be at actual 540 rpm. You'd have to use half that engine rpm if you have the pto in the 1,000 setting to get actual 540 pto rpm.
