lK3054 PTO Problem

I am having some problems with my PTO on my 1999 LK 3054. THe PTO will not stay engaged when Bushogging. Sometimes it will stay engaged longer than other times but it will pop out. You can apply very light pressure to the lever and it will stay engaged. Anyone else having this problem?
Any help would be appreciated

Welcome to TBN. Sorry to hear you're having a problem. I don't have an LK 3054, but if you're able to keep it engaged by lightly holding it in place, I would suggest that you have an adjustment problem somewhere in the link.
Trace from the PTO lever down the linkage and see where you might be able to adjust and tighten the linkage.
Maybe some of the dealers can check the service manual for you and give you a better answer, but I'd bet this is the problem, and I hope it's this minor.
You should get yourself a service manual when you get a chance. They're really a big help over the owner's "manual," which doesn't really tell you much. John

Most of these particular tractors have a 2 stage clutch. (Live PTO) Pressing the pedal 1/2 way down disengages the drive clutch (you can change your gears). Pressing the pedal all the way down disengages the pto clutch (you can put the pto in gear). I have seen several of these tractors that need the clutch adjusted. This is a simple procedure that can be done with the linkages connecting the clutch pedal to the chassis housing. It should show the adjustment procedure on page 43 in your owners manual. I would sure check this too along with the PTO shift lever linkages as well.
