LK 3504 Front Wheel Drive Final Drive Question

Looks like I just found an expensive problem on my LK 3504. Got it a few days ago knowing something was amiss in the front wheel drive. Pulled it apart yesterday to find the vertical shaft lower gear chipped, shaft scoured, and no upper bearings found. Also no manual, no parts list, and thin information across the internet. Anyone have these issues with their front wheel drive? Anyone have a manual available? Even an Owners Manual would be nice. Called Kioti and they were super helpful, "all available through your local dealer for around 200.00" Thanks in advance....

Welcome to TBN! I had a similar problem on my 2554 but the gears were still in good shape. The upper bearings were bad on both sides allowing the shaft to move enough for the gears to slip. It was that way when I bought the tractor. All I did was replace bearings and seals. That was 10+ years ago and no problem since. I don't have a manual but it is pretty straightforward.

A parts manual should be no problem. Try one of the dealer-sponsored online parts sites, like this one.
I am not aware of any digital service manuals for your model. So I guess you need to extrapolate from a CK30 manual or pay a dealer for a paper copy, which you should do, IMO. But don't waste money on a paper parts manual.

Thanks guys for chiming in! In the meantime, I identified (3) pinion gears shot, (2) bearings turned to powder, *(1) scoured shaft, (1) bent shaft, and casings showing shrapnel damage. With all parts and seals and O-rings, etc, about 700.00. I did find a dealer about 70 miles away that actually could carry on an intelligent conversation about these things. Even set me up with a pdf parts manual and a shop manual, for free nonetheless. So parts are ordered. Wish I had a parts washer now...............

Hour meter indicates 1300, however, a note under the hood reads "motor replaced at 1000 hrs". Dont know how accurate that is, but why put it there if it wasn't??......
