I noticed one thread of a purchase from LMTC. Anybody else use them?..I would have to buy sight unseen and have it shipped. Would you trust them????
thanks

I was about to make a purchase from them a couple of months ago.The only reason i didn't is, I found a comparable Yanmar somewhat closer to home.Given the great lengths they went to, to help me out, I would definitely reccomend that anyone considering the purchase of a used compact, seriously consider doing business with them. They were knowledgeable, and helpful in every way.Give them a call, you'll see what i mean.
May God Bless

LMTC has a good reputation on this board. Might be slightly more expensive, but seems to be an honest person. Can't say I have ever seen anything negative written about him (except once--and that person said he was in Miami Florida--which obviously isn't true). The other dealers seem to respect him.

If he is near you, go see him. If you buy elsewhere, I am not sure he repairs tractors bought elsewhere or gives parts support for those bought elsewhere (seems like I recall that he used to, but some buyers would buy from somebody who did no repair, and then he would end up answering a million questions and trying to fix an orphan).

kurt,
Wayne is a stand up guy. He'll treat you right. I've never purchased from him even though I spent quite a few hours on his lot one day. I bought from a private seller, maybe Wayne may have been a better deal.....LOL I would like to think we have become good friends, but that's not why I recommend him. He is a great dealer, plain and simple.
He will take the time to explain anything you need. Although I don't know his policy on shipping tractors. He offers parts support to his buyers. He has spent numerous hours locating aftermarket and readily available parts for the tractors. He does that kind of stuff as a service to his customers.
He also sells implements as well.

If you have any other concerns about LMTC, just let me know.

kurt, I recently purchased a 2210 from LMTC and am very happy with the tractor, attachments, and the overall service. As others have already said, Wayne has a very good reputation on this board. INHO you can't go wrong buying from LMTC. He will treat you right.

Good luck! BTW - what model are you considering? Where are you having it shipped to?

PM me if you have any specific questions about my experience with LMTC.

Thanks for your imput. I would be having it shipped to south florida. Would cost about $800 extra. There are closer dealers but no way to check on repuatation. I would have to buy sight unseen. Would you trust him to ship that way? Many of the dealers in FL advertise "factory reconditioned" models. several threads say to stay away from these. Any thoughts.
Thanks
Kurt

All of the tractors I saw on the lot there where in very good shape. From what I can tell, these are not junk tractors with a pretty paint job. I have no experience at all with the reconditioned tractors you mentioned, but I have read the same warnings you have, and decided to go with a reputable dealer that everyone trusts.

Buying sight unseen is a difficult, but I truly believe Wayne will treat you right. Just curious on the shipping part, why not make a weekend trip to check it out and make the purchase, and take it back with you? Even if had to rent a truck / trailer, it might be a cheaper way to go, and ease your mind on the "sight unseen" part. Just a thought...

Kurt,

Wayne at LMTC is an honest guy with good products, and he knows how to take care of his customers. I'd be very confident with him in a long distance sale.
