I just got a Kubota B7500 with a FEL and I am building a grapple for the bucket for light brush cleanup, can someone show me where the Power beyond port is on the loader valve? Is it the #6 hose that comes into the right side if your looking at it or the other one on the other side? and I cant seem to find a Spool valve local that is marked PB on any of its ports, just in-Out- and 2 function ports
Thanks,
Jon

I can't answer your question (I have a B2910) ... but if you go to link below you should be able to obtain an parts diagram which may help in finding the answer you're seeking. Be aware that you may have to get a parts diagram for the loader - rather than the tractor itself - dunno ...

A FEL valve with PB will have at least 7 ports.

It is usually on the opposite side of the IN port.

The PB port will have inside threads about 1 in inside the port.

You have:

IN port

OUT/return port

4 work ports

The remaining port should be the PB port.

Show a picture of your valve and the hyd blk.

They show two different FEL valves with the LA272 loader.

You have two ports coming off the hyd blk.

One is the pressure , and the other is the PB from the FEL valve.

The OUT/return hose goes from the FEL valve back to the side of the tractor.

J.J Here is my valve

IMG_2458.jpg

it has a IN on the bottom right, Another that im taking as the PB which is the gold colored one on the bottom left and the Out on the front next to the cylinder lines,

I have a Spool off a log splitter which has a IN port, Out Port and 2 Work ports, So will this spool work for what im trying to achieve? Would I take the PB line off my FEL valve, Run it to the IN on the new spool valve, and the Out off the Spool back to the PB port where I took the line off the FEL? Thanks for your help

I think if your loader valve has no PB port you should be able to put the new grapple valve in series before the loader valve and use the PB on the new valve to supply the loader valve...A diverter on the curl circuit may be another option?

both the hoses on the bottom of the fel valve come from the hyd block on the side of the tractor, the out runs back towards the trans from what I can see,

A log splitter valve is designed as the last valve in a hyd system and is not used in the middle of the series hyd path.

The reason is that the OUT port is only designed for about 500 psi.

To operate a grapple, you need a PB valve or a 3rd function valve, both designed for high pressure.

The PB valve will provide feather action, whereas the 3rd function will provide full flow all the time.

The solenoid type valve may be more to your liking, as it is operated by a push button on the joystick lever.

You might can use the log splitter valve and get away for a while, however you take your chance.

If you do use the log splitter valve, it would be in series with the PB from the FEL valve and the log splitter OUT hose would go to the 3pt.

what would be the best way to plumb it in safely? and what type of solenoid valve are u referring to, wouldn't it be all or nothing when u hit the button to actuate it?

Yes, the 3rd function valve would be full flow, but at max engine rpm, you are providing full flow, and at less rpm, less flow.

The 3rd function valve is a solenoid controlled valve with high pressure ports.

It has an IN port, OUT port and two work ports.

The only way you can use the log splitter valve is to plumb it like I said.

It could fail at any time due to the back pressure.

You can also use a diverter valve to control the grapple by using the curl circuits.
