Yesterday I bought a like new used Lincoln 3200 HD mig welder. I have it all setup with gas. This unit has an adjustable gas valve on it. I also own a Lincoln Weld Pak 100 with the non adjustable gas vavle. For some reason I can't get this welder to work anywhere near as good as my Weld Pak 100 does. Does anyone out there own this unit or a Weld Pak 135 and know what they use for a gas setting on it? The machine works fine with standard flux core wire. It just doesn't seem to work right with the gas setup. The valve does work as gas does come out of the welding gun. I bought this fairly cheap to replace my Weld Pak 100. The 3200 HD is supposed to have 35 more amps of welding power. Now I'm wondering if that is just a bull line or what. I'd like a 220 volt unit, but right now my funds are pretty limited. This machine will have to do for the meantime.
