what a small world, I listed it on craigslist I thought it would be quicker for local pickup what a mistake, craigslist is full of the most and pardon my expression SCUM##@@##$ and cheapskates in the world. I'm selling the unit because I just picked up a 2010 F350 super duty that I will be using in my brother's commercial plowing business including my own driveway. now don't get me wrong the cab tractor Works great but it's not as nice as the F350 with leather heated seats :). I explained all this in the advertisement including the fact that I will not sell it for less than $5000 I figured that was fair considering it has so little time use on it so please don't waste your time with lowball offers I would just keep it rather than give it away. One joker offered me $850 I couldn't stop laughing I e-mailed him back do you know how to read English? for $850 I'd buy three LOL. well anyway looks like I'm keeping it no one has made a serious offer just tire kickers I figure when the snow flakes start to fly and people price out the new ones I'll get a call until then I'm getting ready to mount it to the tractor take care all

I know what you mean about the people on craigslist that want something for nothing. Of course I want something for nothing also but I also know what things are worth, so I make honests offers. Well hope you sell it or get tons of snow so you can use it:D.

hey Radium , is it a front or rear mount ? I have the sub frame for my tc40da as you may remember giving me advice on how the snowblowers work . I would still need the mid pto shaft plus the blower of course to go up front.( I can "t scrape up the money to go with that set up this year)

so now I am thinking about a rear mount to save some money. 5 grand is a fair price for sure . Would you know if my tractor has enough power to run that blower ?

Just tire kicking or should I say auger kicking at the moment, but I am interested in the snowblower if she works with my tc.

BTW i have been meaning to tell ya what I did to my exhaust but I "ll catch you with that on another post when I can get some pictures up.
Take care Radium and thanks for any info you can give me on the blower

Hey John what's up I would love to sell it to you but I don't know if your tractor can handle it you probably can lift it without a problem it only weighs about 1500 pounds but then you add in the wet snow you're up to probably 2000+ now if memory serves me you said you used your machine on a lot of hills I don't think it would be a smart idea you would be right to your safety margin then add the simple fact that the main fan is almost 3 foot tall you will need a lot of PTO horsepower, new Holland claims you're sized tractor can run this snowblower I don't buy it especially if you get a deep storm I think you'd really be stressing your tractor. One other small problem with the hydrostatic transmission you lose horsepower at the PTO if I remember correctly it's only about 31 at the PTO most manufacturers of 84 inch snowblowers recommend a minimum of 45 to 50 PTO horsepower and they go up from there although it's up to you if you want to ask your dealer what he thinks let me know also take a look at the size of the 84 snowblower if he has one on his lot then look at a 2420 or 4060 whatever they're calling them and you'll see how much bigger the rear arms and stabilizer bars are to handle the load of this snowblower pushing back into a load of snow. I can't believe I'm talking you out of this sale ;-) but I just don't want you to waste your money on something that won't do the job or possibly hurt your tractor, my advice go buy any rear 74 inch snowblower and you'll be happy. Can't wait to see pictures of your exhaust take care

just a funny update on the snowblower sale I lowered the price to $4500, to my surprise I had offers one was for $450 apparently he misplaced a decimal wishful thinking, but the best one a guy offered me a snowblower for my snowblower a Sears craftsman at best about 800 bucks pushed job LOL I think it's safe to say until the economy turns around I'll be keeping it. I will leave it listed here and pull the craigslist down I don't think they have any understanding of the cost and size of the unit take care
