BX 23
Washed the bota today, getting her ready for winter, then without touching the switches, I found the warning flashers going blink blink. Turned on the switch, then off, and they went off, then started again.

Then it got brighter, the head lights started the same thing, but would not go OFF.

Anyone know of a problem with this, or can you not get the tractor wet. I use a pressure washer, electric one, not that strong.

thanks

Danny,
I had the same problem when I got my BX23 back from the 50 hr service they told me when the switches get wet they stick. They told me to pop them apart and blow out the water in the switch well I tried that a few times and never did work I just bought a new switch it was the easisest thing to do

take the switches apart and dry the water out of them. Then fill them with Vaseline till they are overflowing. You can even warm the Vaseline with a hair drier. This will keep them from getting filled with water in the future and assure you of a good switch. This is an old boaters trick before they made waterproof switches. It also works well to put some into the bulb sockets to keep them from corroding.... For the future, keep the pressure washer away from the dash and switches. It might not seem very strong to you, but to a weak switch, it is overpowering.....
