It seems to me that my new 40DA has less lifting power than my 01 35D? Can that be? Is there a way to increase the bucket lifting power? I need to lift alot of snow soon!
It is possible, but you need to check your hydraulic pressure to be sure. The 35D could have be high and your 40DA low. I would suggest that all tractor owners buy a 0-5000 PSI gage and adapt it to a quick connect male fitting. Then you can put it into one of the loader quick connects and check the pressure with the engine at about 2000 rpm. The pressure on the 40DA should be 2500 psi. The 35D should have been 2250 psi. Either can be adjusted by adding shims to the pressure relief valve on the diverter valve body underneath the RH side of the operator's platform. I checked the pressure on my 45D and it was exactly 2500 psi. I don't suggest adjusting it higher.35DMAN said:It seems to me that my new 40DA has less lifting power than my 01 35D? Can that be?
