I use a x475 with 48" deck. Some may think thats small, but its perfect for my application. I am curious if anyone uses the JD curved lift blades for fall/spring cleanup of leaves and needles? I have a power-flow bagger that I collect the debris in. I have a lot of long straight norway pine needles that do not collect well with regular blades.

I do use those blades on my X320 and 48" deck and power flow. It normally sucks everything up at the lower settings. I normally mow at the 3 1/2 mark and it picks up all the leaves and cedar debris. I think if you put the deck down low, it will suck up just about anything.

When you see the "curved" or "twisted" blades, generaly they are no-lift blades for mulching. The outer part of the blades has normal lift so they twist the inside of the blade to create negative lift (downforce). It works out to just about no lift overall. The straight blades are traditonally the high lift blades. I have seen some posts about the Gator blades turning leaves into dust.

Gators do turn everything to dust but you have to take the good with the bad. A mask for the dust would be nice.

Brittgers, If your machine came with the power flow, I think you should already have those blades. At least that is the way mine came.

Brittgers I agree. My machine also came with those blades.

Got Gator Blades for my 48C on my LX277.
It certainly does not turn the leaves to dust. If I start in the center of the lawn and work outward it will 'eventually' get them minced, but it takes a few passes.

I had a LX280 and I can tell you the blade tip speeds are not the same as my 2305.
