Kubota L3901
Hello,
I have a Kubota L3901 with 500 hours purchased two years ago with a FEL attached since I purchased it. I recently took off the FEL and sold it off because I never use it. Anyway, I had to plug the hydraulic ports that fed the FEL when I took it off and now my lift arms wont move up or down. I am thinking maybe I interrupted the hydraulic flow by plugging the ports after un hooking and selling the FEL. I attached a picture of the hydraulic ports that I plugged (in the picture they are not plugged, it's still hooked to FEL). So my question is: by plugging these ports, did I interrupt the Hydraulic flow which is why my lift arms are now inoperable?
Please help

Sorry, I am talking about the rear lift arms or 3pt lift arms. At the back of the tractor.

Not familiar with your tractor, but some systems flow through the FEL valve, then to the 3 point lift system. You may have stopped that flow.

I wouldn't run the tractor anymore until you either get the right parts for your hydraulic block or put a hose to jumper the pressure port from the pump and the old power beyond port from the loader.
Right now your hyd pump is going against the relief everytime your engine is running which is not a good thing.

The person you sold the loader to would probably be willing to trade the plate for the hydraulic block so you don't have to have a hose made up.

Thanks TMGT.
What would the correct parts for the hydraulic block be? I went to the dealer and they sold me the plugs to plug the ports. They said I could order a block that would do the same thing, but it would take a few days ect. So I went for the plugs. Would the block function differently than the plugs?
Any chance you could explain how I could use a hose to jumper the pressure port from the pump and the old power beyond port from the loader?
Thank you

Do you have a picture of it with the plugs? The only port I know of that can be plugged is the return to tank port.
I wasn't able to pull up a diagram of the block on my phone.
I can't remember if the factory used a hose or seperate block cover that bolts on with the channels built into it like the older models.

I don't have a picture, but it's basically 3 caps that cap the 3 ports the hoses use to connect to. I replaced the 3 hoses with the 3 caps. But it sounds like that cut off the hydraulics. Maybe the block the dealer said I could order has channels built in (like you said) therefore completing the hydraulic circuit.? thank you

That's how the older units worked with the block cover completing the circuit, I doubt they changed anything for the L 01 models.

I found some information and it appears the top two ports need to be connected together, the bottom port is the tank port and can just be plugged.

You have three ports, one from pump that went to loader,
one coming back from loader going back to the tank and the
one coming from the loader that is the power beyond feeding the rear three point.

The pump port must be connected to the one going to the three point so you have hydraulics and do not deadhead the pump, originally before the accessory block with the threaded ports was put on there was a plate with custom orings on it connecting the correct ports and blocking the unneeded one. You either need that plate or a hose connecting the 2 ports. Just hope you have not blown your pump as you have no relief valve in line now.
