You can try a plastic polish such as plexus, but it will only clean the screen it wont do anything for the pitting. In fact, it may make the pitting worse for a while due to putting a compound type product on the screen and getting it into the little holes and crannies.

I use two products - Meguiers Mirror glaze #10 & Plexus. The Meguiers will "hide" little scratches better than Plexus. Both require buffing, after application, to remove slight hazing. Both may "obscure" the pitting somewhat but will not fix it.

Plexus is around $25 for a 13oz spray can & Meguiers is around $10 for an 8oz jug. I use Plexus on my motorcycle helmet face shield where good vision is critical.

If you can get through the coating, the novus products work with buffing. #3, #2, #1. I had a bad gash from an oak branch.. deep. I buffed off the coating and did the Novus in the right order. It's not perfect but better. I use Plexus too and similar products. I use microfiber to wipe and I even keep my windshield wiper on the machine because lexan attracts dust as you know. It's not a pefect solution but it helps. You can get all three Novus for about $28 US through Amazon.
I've gone through this for years. After awhile, lexan is just junk because without the coating, the UV light yellows it if you can get the majority of your deep scratches to where they don't hold dust and refract light the wrong way, you will get more life out of it. Feel free to PM me.

BTW. Plexus has anti-static properties and is a must have in the toolbox but you have to use microfiber to apply it and buff it too but it only takes about 4 minutes to do a big windshield. I use it inside on the undamaged side to keep dust from being attracted.

A headlight cleaning/restore kit works pretty good. I've worn out a number of the foam polishing balls. Mount them in a drill and go to work.

Thanks for the replies fellers. I found a place that can supply a new screen, cost $100.
Yellowdog, I have used the Novus products in the past but over here their price is hexy so its cheaper to replace the screen.

We use some degreaser, water, and a squeegee. A few years ago I took my door to a glass shop and for about $80 they buffed out the sheen that was on it and made it look brand new (except for the indentions) Well worth the money though. It practically looked like a brand new door.

Dont use any glass cleanner with ammonia in it, causes lexan to cloud up.
