3-Point Hitch Lenght of Lift Arms

I have a 336D and I suspect I do not have the correct Lift arms. The tractor came with Woods 765 BH installed and a Ford brush hog and 3pt lift arms as extras in a pile. When I remove the BH and put the brush hog on using the Lift arms that came with it and a top linke provided by Hoye the I can't level the mower and it hits the tires at almost any position. Front is way high and the rear of the mower is in the dirt. The Lift arms are 24" center to center and about 26 to 27" overall. Top lik is way long for the Armes I have.

Can someone give me a comparison measurement. I see Hoye list the arms at 27/.5" CEnter to center but I would appreciate an actual figure from someone witha 336D if possible, Any feed back welcome..

Are you saying the mower hits the tires, or the lower arms hit the tires. I'm confused as to why you can't level the mower. the top link should have nothing to do with leveling the mower.

I talked to some folks at Hoye and they told me the arms are typically 27.5 " oor more center to center. Mine are 24 and just clear the tire when the arm is level with the ground. When lifting they move in even closer. Obviously not the right arms.

Evidently there is no down side to going to Tractor Supply for something like this so off I go.

If anyone ahs a 336D I wouls still appreciate a measurement as a point of reference.

Joe,
If you shorten your top link, it will drop the front of the mower down.
But yes, I would look for a set of longer arms.
Make sure your sway chains will still fit the new arms while you are at the store measuring.
