I saw on guy on a local NC station standing in the water and Flo's wind.
He was doing a martial arts stance to keep from being blown over.
He looked like an idiot. I could not see his clothes moving that much nor was the water moving much if at all.
What I don't understand is that at this point, don't the "reporters" and producers KNOW that this looks dumb or worse? WHY do they continue to do this is beyond me. :confused3:
We don't watch much TV, and TV news even less. Our reception was pretty bad during the storm because of the digital signal, wind blown trees, and I suspect, the towers. We did turn on a local station to see what was happening between the screen/audio freezing up. Some of the reports where pretty awful but the old anchor that has been on this station for decades was on screen constantly. We would turn on the TV from time to time and there he was. I know he got breaks and such but he was putting in some really long hours. Yesterday, we turned on the station and he was now out of the studio and down in the flood zone. Got to give him credit for the hours he put in and he ain't no spring chicken.
