Every time I try to save a buck, I end up paying twice. 2 years ago I replaced the original front tires on my 2011 BX2660 with tires I found on Amazon. A few months back, one of the cords blew but I continued to use it with a bulge in the sidewall (I know, save the safety lecture---my wife calls me Danger Boy). Anyway, I dropped the bad tire and wheel off at my local Kubota dealer and my wife picked it up yesterday and I was getting ready to mount it and I noticed that they put the tire on the wheel backwards. I have some snow to plow either today or tomorrow morning and I can mount it as-is which would mean the tread would be backwards but the valve stem would be on the outside where it should be. Or I can mount the tire and wheel with the valve stem on the inside and then the directional tread would be correct and going in the right direction, if that makes any sense. Or I can wait until the dealership opens in the morning and run it back over and have them mount it correctly.

Any thoughts---what would you do? Thanks and happy new year!

Run it as is, do what you have to do, then take it off and get fixed once you have the time to do it.

Just mount if normally - valve stem out and reverse tread, then have dealer fix in the future.

I'd just run it reversed and then give it back to the dealer.

Thanks gents! That is what I will do.

I think valve inward will cause interference. Wheel fits. Valve hits.

Yes - i was going to suggest plowing snow in reverse only :).

It'll last a little longer if run "backwards", that's all.

Yes, you'll lose a little traction when going forwards, but there are probably times when you back up, too.

I got it on, along with my chains and I got my plowing done. I actually have my front tires "loaded" with beet juice or whatever it is for extra traction. I live on a hill and I need all the traction I can get. Draining the juice and flipping the tire around and then filling again is probably more than a 10 minute job for the shop but I'll probably drop it off and pick it up when I get a chance. Thanks again everybody!

I'd expect the other tire to fail soon, just like the first one. Get a new one and have it also mounted backwards. Then switch sides. Two wrongs can make a right ( ! ) .

Also the tread depth/circumference is the same is the benefit changing them both out now. Less stress on the drivetrain.
