One of my stock 55w roof utility lights went out last night. Looking for replacements. Had anyone swapped out the stock roof lights on an m5040, m6040, or m7040, for LEDs? Wondering if you had to pull the roof liner to replace the mounting bracket or were you able to use the existing ones for the stock lights? Amazon has some flood/spot 72w that look pretty bright on reviews. Pretty sure I'd need to replace the mounts and not sure if they are compatible with the switches as well. Just trying to find something that I don't have to tear everything apart to install...but if that's what it takes I might just do it to brighten up my night.

My new L4060 has halogens on the front of the cab. There is just a sealed bullet connector right there. Either undo the bullet, or cut the wire & put in a sealed plug there outside. No need to pull the roof.

You'd need to check the amp rating on the fuses (watts divided by 12v = amps), but there is probably spare capacity to upgrade from 55 watts.

I'm planning on putting a light bar front & rear on my new L4060. The light bars generally have a center spot section & flood lights on the side giving far better coverage than the small LEDs much less the crap stock hallogens. Will probably just remove the stock halogens. Hoping there is enough capacity to just use the original wires. Need to check fuses & a wiring diagram myself. The rear light option is $150 for 2 lights. Not even any wiring in that, the harness is already just sitting there on the mounting brackets waiting to be hooked up.

If they are like the light on the L series you can take them apart and put a new bulb in them. And if it like the L series, the cab is shaped for the factory lights, aftermarket lights would look funny.

I utilized the oem brackets, wiring, and switches on my L4060. The Kubota brackets required a little bending and drilling a slightly larger hole in my case. I just cut the oem wires and soldered in the new led lights.
I used 54w (9" long) led lights on four corners. They practically turn night into day! In hindsight, I think 36w leds would have been more than adequate.

Sounds good. On mine I'm thinking front to back depth is my main issue. The bracket sticks out and has a single hole for one bolt mounting. I was looking at 72w....maybe o should back down a bit. Have you had it in snow? Wondering how that much light works when everything is white.

Haven't plowed at night with them. I also replaced all of the other bulbs with leds except the headlight and corner lights. I need to calc how many less amps I am using with the running lights and flashers, but I suspect it's in the 8-10a range.
