looking hard
I have been lurking here off and on and the threads assisting people in their decision making process has been most helpful. It is quite a decision for the first purchase.

Here are my intended usages:

Clearing brush, pushing/digging stumps
Finish mowing 2-3 acres
Brush hogging 3-4 acres
Brush hogging trails
Till and plant 8-10 acres

I would like a pretty narrow wheel base due to trail maintenance and amount of trees I will be working around, but not critical issue. Will be working a lot in wet land areas, 4wd is a must.

Leaning toward Mahindra 3215 which I know will be at lower end of power for all I want to do, but at first glance appear to be most affordable. Also my neighbor has one and although he does not use it as hard as I will, it seems to be dependable.

Local dealers include Case and JD but Mahindra dealer is not too far. I will admit up front I have a bias against orange tractors (irrational yes, but I have it).

I am looking forward to what ever guidance you may provide.

Cheers

I've spent several weeks exploring tractors before making my choice. I decided on the 3215 HST and after 2 weeks it it is assembled, serviced and ready for me to pick up tomorrow afternoon. It arrived earlier this week and the Woods backhoe arrived and was added on yesterday. I am satisfied that I will have exactly what I want and my search has convinced me that the Mahindra is the best deal going. Good luck in your quest.
