Leaking hydrolic fluid at the spool for the lever that moves the backhoe bucket

This was a very bad day. On the way to see about this leak..... driving it to a near by friend/tractor owner with mucho experiende in heavy equip/construction. The shift lever took a vacation and no longer shifts gears. This on a tractor with supposedly 156 hours on it when I bought it! It now has just over 200 hours. I will send pics if necessary. The spool moves thru a plate with 4, I think allen screws holding it in place. Neighbor tells me there is an O ring under the plate that is allowing fluid to seep up to the surface of that plate. It's about a half to 9/16s thick. It is not a major leak YET. I'd like to fix it. What do I do? How serious of a disassembly job is this?

Does anyone have an exploded view of the area where the spool moves up and down. I have tools and the will but I'm not a mechanic by trade. Please advise when you can. Thanks for your time.

If you bought it from the original owner, he must have the parts manual for the hoe; they're packaged with every tractor; owner's manual/and a manual for both loader and the hoe

He said he was the original owner but it's possible he bought it used as well. I purchased what passes in third world countries for an owners manual. If you built the tractor this document might serve as a reminder. The picture quality is an obscenity of profit.
