2009 Kioti Dk40se HST, 1977 John Deere 1030
I'm new to this site after reading for a few months and bought a new Kioti DK40 se HST about 2 weeks ago. I now have a small leak on the hoses where they connect to the front loader. I had the dealer out to fix the problem but now all 4 fittings are leaking and he has ordered all new parts for the 4 hoses. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. I already have 40 hours on the tractor as I have been using the backhoe lots. Seem like a great tractor but taking a while to get use to the HST after having gears in the Deere

Welcome aboard Pure Animal. I recently purchased a Bobcat CT230. These are basically the same tractor as the Kioti, even made on the same line from what I've heard. Anyway, I also had the same problem. The QD's the were screwed into the loader valve were leaking out around the threads. I had the service tech out, and he replaced the orings and put them back on. He said that there was a jam nut that holds the fitting tight in place that probably didn't get tightened enough in the assembly, and with the vibration of the tractor they backed off enough to let the fitting back itself out a bit. After the quick fix, I haven't had any problems with them leaking at all.
Did they try this? or id the leak in the QD's?

If all four hoses are leaking I'd say you got a bum batch of hoses. I have the same tractor and have one very slow leak in one of the FEL fittings (so slow I haven't figured out which one yet). Basically it sounds like your dealers response is correct and that someone putting those hoses together did not do such a good job. I haven't heard anything like this with the new DKs so it seems to be an anomaly.

Hope you enjoy the tractor, mine's been a real trooper.

I purchased a new DK40 in 02 and the only problems I had were with loader which I fixed myself because it was faster and involved no travel time to the dealer.
Funny thing is that the loader was made for Kioti in the USA....maybe that's why we don't make tractors here anymore...Geez!

It was the fitting that were leaking. All four are now replaced and no more leaks. It seems the old one when you try to tighten them they leak worst.

Welcome and congrats on the tractor. Good to hear your problem is fixed. Thanks for the info, I have not had any leaks but this has been informative.

I had 2 of the four leak on my new bobcat, mine has orings that are on the fittings that screw into the loader block, if you over tighten them the orings will get ruined, i wonder if you loader block is surface ground true? maybe have burrs or are not flat?

I need to test my hydro psi next because the lack of power in my front end loader and hoe, they seem very weak. How strong are yrs?
