LE 354 Question

Merry Christmas to all. My question concerns a 2006 Lenar LE 354 (serial number starts with 06) is it the same as a dong Fen DF 354, i.e. was DF making Lenars at that time? If It was I plan on buying it. Thanks in advance.

Heres a quote from Chip from another forum to clarify a little.

The origianl Lenar tractors were Jaingling, previously called Feng Shou, and now part of Mahindra. When the Jaingling factory was sold to Mahindra, LENAR production was transferred to DongFeng, who had previousley supplied the Taskmaster and Avenger tractors imported by Roger Powells companies.

The DF404 is the same as our AT3814. and yes, you need UTF in the trans/hydraulics and a good diesl oil in the engine, we usually use Rotella but any good diesel oil is fine. gear oil in the front axle.

With the recent liquidation of Lenar in Texas, I do not know if Lenar is a viable entity anywhere now. We do stock parts for DF tractors and in fact I have 8 shiny new "ARTRAC" branded DF tractors arriving in about 2 weeks, including 30 and 40HP shuttle shift models and 2 AT3814s. (as well as a huge parts shipment).

I have the DF354 (2007) I think the model changed from what you have now as Greg mentioned. The basic tractor is the same with some (many) improvements. If it has the more curved hood then it is probably one of the newer ones as mine. I think the 2006's were the more squared look with the horizontal vents across the front and top of the hood. Engine info would help as well. If it has the Chang Chai ZN490T engine as my plate then it is a good start. - Great engine
