Buying Advice Lawnmower Has Not Model/Serial Number Tag

If they find the people who sold it to you are involved in selling stolen property they have a paper trail with your name on the car title so think good chance they would reach out to you. Can they prove the mower is stolen if it was? If they are crooks then you sure can not prove you legally own it. How about this, what happen to the father who owned the mower? At least use his last name and do a search on line for his passing. If you find that in time frame that fits then probably they told the truth. How did you find them or di they find you? If they were using legal method to advertise the mower again I would think they are telling the truth. At least here we can search a name in each county to see if they have an arrest history.

They just busted a person I have known for years for stealing and selling such as you have bought. The time of the year here for that. Reading your post you are worried and are the type of person who will always wonder and will not every enjoy it till you find out. So do a little detective work. If stolen you have best chance to come out okay sooner than later and if you get proof that suits you not stolen you will have a burden removed.
