I have a JD 2210 and my property is flat. My problem is that this was new development and although the grass has taken well it is un even. I went onto the agrifab web site and they have a broad range of weights of lawn rollers upto 900 lbs. A couple of questions what do you think is the best weight to level out the bumps and when do you think is the best time to start rolling bearing in mind too wet would probably exacerbate the situation

BEST WEIGHT?Ihave an old large propane tank,i stuck a shaft through, and filled with cement 400-500 lbs just about all my 11 hp craftsman can muster.
Best time? when i know i can do it without spinning myself stuck /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif When your gonna smooth things up,not tear things up,if you get what im trying to say

I don't think a lawn roller will help. You have voids in the yard that need filled in.

I agree with Molerj, the roller will not level out the bumps, all it will do is compact the soil and weeds love compacted soil.
