I've been waiting to post some pics of my new JD110 and hoping that the weather is gonna be a little more Spring-like and less winter.... but that's not been the way things have been lately up here.

(And I'm havin' a frustating time with the digital camera and sizing the pics... Aaagggh!)

Nonetheless, the machine is a real brute compared to my ol' JD970!

What the heck is all that white stuff? I don't want to make you sick ,but I was cutting grass and wearing shorts in Pa. The 110 looks good , I love mine so far . Had to dig a fiber cabinet for Verizon in all rock ,got the first major scratches on the hoe bucket :(. What a machine compared to the smaller 48 hoe .
Hope the sun comes out soon for you to get some warm tractor time,
when does spring arrive in Alaska?

best of luck,
Macdabs

Thanks, Macdabs. Been spoiled the past several years with early, warm Spring's. This year is a little more in line with what can be expected.

Most all of that last snow is now melted (althoght this AM it was a hard freeze again) and the geese and cranes have been flyin' thru pretty regular; so warm, dirt diggin' tractor days can't be too far off!

Do you have a small (12") HD bucket for workin' in rocks? That would be a challange for any machine!

Regards,

Ah, I remember springtime in Alaska well. The ice would break up on the river in Fairbanks in late May.

AK, you finally got it...congrats!

I have a very similar picture of mine but with about 20" of snow on it...and its in AZ. You will really enjoy that machine. I just got done digging a large footing through rock and it did very well. Lots of power.

Thanks all.

Sure enough can have ice along the river banks into May. And ice in your fishing rod guides during the chinook salmon fishing during Memorial Day opener.

Seeing that bright shiny chinook layin' on the bank takes the chill right off, though!!

Thanks again, Nathan for all your help. You made it an easy decision...

Yah, it's not golfing weather up here... Ice is just beginning to melt along the shoreline of the area lakes. The poor ducks and geese are on a constant flight path lookin', lookin' and lookin' some more for that first ice-free lake!

I put the backhoe on a couple of days ago so I could retrofit some longer hoses on the thumb attachment. So, it will be awhile before I can post some pics of the top n tilt, Nuru.

Or I could shoot a few pics of the cylinders and hoses etc. on the garage floor.

Let me know.

I dream of visiting Alaska for an extended vacation. I'm too much of a wimp to handle the cold for too long. I've heard of couples having to build 2 livable dwellings so they don't kill each other over the winter.

I picked my first tomatoes on May 3rd.

Anyhow, nice machine. Post more pics when it thaws out. Stay warm.
