The recent post about using the landscape rake to move rocks from a field reminded me of a question I've been meaning to post. We are removing a couple of gravel drives on our property and also cleaning up where some large piles of gravel were stored. I've used a box blade to get some of it out but once I get down to the ground level that won't get the gravel that's even with or just below the surface of the dirt without also removing a whole bunch of dirt. Would a landscape rake work to get the gravel raked up into a pile? My local implement dealer thinks the tines would be too far apart and wouldn't work well on gravel like you'd find on a driveway but it sounds as if some of you use the rakes to maintain your drives and are happy with the results.
