Landpride FDR2572 Spindle Bearing Replacement

Hello all!

I picked up a used Land Pride FDR2572 and every bearing needs to be replaced. I got the pulleys and top bearings off the spindles, but the bottom bearing is giving me a bit of trouble. It's apparently pulled down to get it off, but there's a blade hub that has to come off first...or with...whichever. Anyway, I have a friend with a press that is willing to give it a go and try pressing them off, but I'm not sure if the blade hub is threaded or pressed on. The only picture I found for the spindle (Land pride part #310-630D) appears to show threads, but the only picture I've found of the blade hub (Land Pride part #310-300D) shows that it's pressed on (no threads). Both pictures were from Messicks. The parts manual doesn't show threads on the bottom of the spindle. Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me with the pictures...

Does anyone have any experience with the Land Pride spindles to know if the blade hub is pressed or threaded? I tried to pull both of them off yesterday with a puller, but they wouldn't budge. Hate to try and press them off and ruin the spindle.

If anyone is wondering, I figured out the blade hub threads off the bottom of the spindle using right hand threads. Of course, the blade hubs were so rusted on, I had to use a propane torch to heat them up to get them off. A whole lot of no fun.
