Land Pride 11\' Flex Grooming Mower

Anybody had any experience with this Land Pride product? How well does it work on uneven terrain? How steep of a grade can you comfortably go up/down/across? With a 40 hp tractor?

How easy is it to attach/hook up/unhook with rear remotes?

Any reliability/quality issues with it?

It looks like a really nice piece of equipment - pricey - but nice. Any comments on experiences would really be appreciated - good or bad.

Thanks!

Looking at the 90" finish mower from Landpride. They are pricey alright. I took a quick look at the 11' er while I was visiting there site. Looks impressive, but that's a LOT of moving parts. Bound to be maint. intensive, especially later in life. They make a quality product from all I can gather.

With the exception of their 3 pt pto spreader, i have been very pleased with their equipment. I use the 1560 landscape rake, 1542 rotary cutter & quickhitch in my tractor service business.

Re: Land Pride 11\' Flex Grooming Mower

I've had no problems with Land Pride equipment. I cannot say about the flex mower except that I looked at one recently at a dealership, and it is one awsome piece of equipment just to look at - almost makes me wish I needed one! I will be buying more Land Pride equipment in the future.

Re: Land Pride 11\' Flex Grooming Mower

Crisswell, I was looking into the flex mowers for a while too. I do some athletic field mowing, two small school districts but it wasn't enough to justify the price tag. I have a buddy of mine that has one on the golf course he works at. He said his was set up with the anti scalp rollers and work well in un-even areas and around the sand traps. I run a land pride 84" RFM with a NH TC40D. Takes me about 2 1/2 hrs per school. Landpride does make terriffic equipment but I was looking at the Befco ez-flex because it was a three point hitch model. I thought it may be easier to trailer as opposed to the tow behind units. Befco.com. As for pricing, you can get an idea from Wikco.com. Let us know if you decide to get one. Best of luck.

Re: Land Pride 11\' Flex Grooming Mower

Thanks again for the responses and the websites, Property Maint! I'm not in a rush to make a purchase like this, just trying to gather facts. I've got about 8 acres to finish mow around the house and have been looking for something that can get me through it in 2 hours or less - without going at full throttle! The acreage is broken up some, and has some hills that you'd like to be able to mow across the face, rather than up and down. They're not real steep, but definitely have some slope. A golf course here in Western PA would be a good comparison.

Thanks again for the info.
